Background
Global strategy and management consulting firm Roland Berger has appointed Alexander Belderok as the new Managing Partner for its Netherlands business. Belderok, 56, will step into the role on 1 January 2026, taking over from Tijo Collot d’Escury, who has led the Amsterdam office since founding it in 2002.
Belderok joined Roland Berger in 2006 and currently serves as the Global Leader for the Consumer Goods & Retail practice. In this role, he helps companies in agribusiness, consumer goods, retail, biotechnology, and food ingredients. He focuses on developing strategies, restructuring, and improving business models, which has earned him a strong reputation in the firm.
In a statement, Belderok called the appointment an honour and thanked his predecessor for building a strong foundation. “Under Tijo’s leadership, the Amsterdam office has developed into a solid and successful part of our international network. I look forward to building on this foundation and achieving further growth and impact together with our teams,” he said.
Collot d’Escury, who will remain at Roland Berger as a senior partner, described the transition as timely. “After more than two decades at the helm, this is a fitting moment to hand over the leadership. I am proud of the growth the office has achieved, and of the strong culture we have built together. Alexander brings the right experience and energy to lead the Amsterdam business into its next phase,” he said.
Under Collot d’Escury’s leadership, Roland Berger’s Dutch team grew to more than 150 people, making the firm one of the top strategy consultancies in the Netherlands. Worldwide, Roland Berger employs over 3,000 people in 48 offices across 34 countries, making it the largest European challenger to major U.S. strategy firms.
