Background

Chinese online fashion retailer SHEIN has opened a new logistics centre in Wrocław, Poland, strengthening its supply chain network in Europe. The facility will act as the company’s main distribution hub for the region and is expected to improve delivery speed for more than 100 million customers across the continent.

The company said the new centre will increase the total number of jobs created by SHEIN in Poland’s Lower Silesia province to at least 5,000. SHEIN began its European logistics operations in the region in 2022 and has since expanded its presence as demand for its products has grown.

According to SHEIN, the Wrocław facility uses advanced robotic picking systems and automated sorting lines. These technologies are designed to improve efficiency, reduce processing times, and support faster order fulfilment. Once fully operational, the logistics site will offer up to 740,000 square metres of warehouse and distribution space across the Wrocław area.

Leonard Lin, President of SHEIN for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said the company was proud to officially open the new logistics centre. He noted that Wrocław has played a key role in SHEIN’s European logistics strategy over the past two years.

He said that Wrocław has modern warehouses, good transport links to major European markets, and a skilled workforce. These factors make it a great place for large logistics operations.

Lin also said SHEIN plans to continue creating jobs in the region while improving service levels for customers across Europe. The company expects the new hub to help manage growing order volumes more efficiently and support its long-term growth in Europe.
