Background-

Dronetag has been selected as one of 20 companies to join the second cohort of the EUDIS Business Accelerator, a programme operating under the European Defence Fund aimed at supporting innovative defence technologies across Europe.

The Czech-based company is the first from the country to take part in the accelerator since the programme began. Its selection falls under the theme of counter-drone technologies and protection against low-cost aerial threats, an area that has become a growing priority for European defence planners. Among the companies chosen for the current cohort, Dronetag is one of a small group specifically focused on counter-drone capabilities.

Participation in the programme will provide the company with more than 300 hours of expert mentoring, along with access to a series of bootcamps held alongside major European defence industry events. The initiative is designed to help participating firms connect with defence agencies, investors, and institutional buyers across the region.

Dronetag’s inclusion in the programme follows its earlier selection for the NATO DIANA Accelerator in 2023, where it also became the first Czech company to be chosen from a large pool of applicants. With its latest acceptance, the firm is now the only Czech company to be recognised by both NATO and EU innovation programmes focused on defence technology.

Dronetag’s technology detects drones using passive radio-frequency monitoring, capturing signals without sending out any signals in return. This design makes it easier to use the system within existing infrastructure.

Its products, including Scout and RIDER, are designed to detect drone activity and give security teams real-time awareness of airspace.
