Key Facts-

  • Air Marketing acquires Cleverep, extending its reach into the DACH market.
  • The deal gives Air Marketing access to Cleverep’s data targeting, AI tools and email prospecting capabilities.

Background-

Air Marketing has acquired Cleverep, a Barcelona-based business-to-business sales company, extending the Exeter firm’s reach into the German-speaking DACH market. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Air Marketing, which specialises in phone-led prospecting and outsourced sales development, will gain access to Cleverep’s data targeting, AI tools and email prospecting capabilities, built up since 2022.

Owen Richards, founder and chief executive of Air Marketing, said the firm has always valued a well-timed phone conversation, but the strongest outbound programmes rely on more than one channel.

He said Cleverep has built a smart approach around data, AI and email, with a team that understands the DACH market closely, and combining that with Air Marketing’s calling expertise and scale creates a clear opportunity.

Cleverep will keep its name, Barcelona base and existing team, with no roles removed as a result of the deal. Air Marketing’s clients will gain multilingual capability and a team based in Europe, while Cleverep’s clients will gain access to Air Marketing’s calling teams and international campaign coverage.

Fabian Lindner, founder and chief executive of Cleverep, said the two companies had been solving the same challenge from different angles, with Cleverep bringing data, AI and DACH knowledge, and Air Marketing bringing calling experience and an established UK presence.

The companies plan to bring their people, expertise and technology together over the next 12 months to build a multichannel outbound offering across the UK, DACH and wider markets.
