Prime Highlights :

  • Nebius has launched a partner model that allows infrastructure companies to deploy its AI cloud platform in their own data centres.
  • The asset-light approach will expand Nebius’s AI cloud capacity without significant additional capital investment.

Key Facts :

  • Nebius is an AI cloud company that provides infrastructure for AI model training, deployment and enterprise AI applications.
  • Under the new model, partners own and operate the infrastructure, while Nebius supplies the technology, software and customer demand.

Background :

Nebius has introduced a new business model that allows infrastructure partners to deploy the company’s full-stack AI cloud platform in their own data centres. The move aims to increase AI computing capacity and meet the rising global demand for AI cloud services.

Under the model, partners will finance, own and operate the data centres and hardware. Nebius will provide its systems architecture, hardware design, software platform and cloud services. The company will also sell the computing capacity through its global sales network.

Nebius said the model gives partners a faster way to enter the AI cloud market while retaining ownership of their infrastructure. Since Nebius brings customers to the platform, partners can begin earning revenue as soon as the capacity becomes operational.

The company said the new approach will help it expand its AI cloud capacity without making large additional investments. Capacity from partner-operated facilities will be added to Nebius’s existing network of owned data centres and colocation sites.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Arkady Volozh said the model allows infrastructure partners to benefit from the rapid growth in AI demand. He added that Nebius combines its technology, cloud platform and customer base with partners’ infrastructure and local expertise.

Nebius plans to use different commercial arrangements under the model, including revenue-sharing agreements, licensing fees, commissions and committed capacity agreements. The company said it has already signed its first partnership agreements and will continue supporting partners by managing the cloud software and service quality.
