Spanish firms Munt Audit & Forensic and JDA have become part of CLA Global, a worldwide network built from independent accounting and advisory practices.

Munt Audit & Forensic, set up in 2010, works across audit, economic and financial forensic matters, alongside business valuation and financial advisory work. The firm runs offices out of Barcelona and Madrid.

David Muntané, managing partner at Munt Audit & Forensic, described the move as a natural fit, saying the partnership brings together the firm’s hands-on local approach with a global network built on the same standards of quality and independence. He named shared culture and dedication to clients as the driving factors behind the decision, adding that the firm is looking forward to working across borders and the value that will bring to its clients.

JDA, which dates back to 1982, works with companies, entrepreneurs, and family owned businesses. The firm has over 150 professionals spread across four locations, Barcelona, Madrid, Granollers where it is headquartered, and Sabadell.

Both firms will shift toward CLA Global branding over time, eventually operating under the CLA Spain name, the network confirmed. Combined, the two firms add over 175 staff members and 11 partner level leaders spread across five offices.

Client work at both firms touches agriculture, consumer products, education, energy and natural resources, financial services, fintech, and government and public sector projects. Their reach also extends into hospitality and leisure, manufacturing and distribution, media and entertainment, not-for-profit groups, professional services, real estate and construction, retail, and technology and telecommunications.

Paul English, CEO of CLA Global, welcomed the addition of both firms, calling Spain an important market for the network and pointing to the strength JDA and Munt Audit & Forensic add in audit, advisory, tax, and outsourcing work, along with their shared focus on quality, independence, and clients.
