Background
Global business travel platform Navan has announced three new supplier integrations across Europe, adding ITA Airways, Caledonian Sleeper and Virtuo to its platform as bookings to and from the continent continue to grow.
The integrations cover air, rail and ground transport. Navan will connect directly with Italy’s national carrier ITA Airways through a New Distribution Capability link using the latest NDC API version 24.1, enabled via Lufthansa Group’s network.
The connection gives travelers access to exclusive ITA content not available on older booking platforms, including specific fare classes, alongside faster and more automated post-booking management.
On the rail side, Navan users in the UK can now book cabins on the Caledonian Sleeper, the country’s only overnight rail service. The train runs roughly eight hours between London and Scottish cities including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness.
Steven Marshall, Head of Sales and Marketing for Caledonian Sleeper, said the integration puts the productivity, wellbeing and low-carbon benefits of overnight rail travel within easy reach for corporate bookers.
The third integration brings Virtuo’s fully digital car rental service to Navan travelers in France and the UK. Travelers can book vehicles through Navan and access them remotely via the Virtuo app, skipping rental counters entirely.
The app handles digital identity checks and damage reporting through artificial intelligence, letting travelers go straight from the arrivals gate to their car. Virtuo Chief Executive Marie Muller said the partnership brings that counter-free experience directly to enterprise customers.
Navan Chief Customer Officer Michael Riegel said European bookings are up year on year and the company must keep investing locally to serve the market properly. The three new deals follow earlier additions including Swedish Rail, SAS NDC and Deutsche Bahn’s bahn.business programme.
